Plakias
The old Cretan fishing village of Plakias with its little harbour, lies in a particulary beautiful landscape between the blue Libyan Sea and vast majestic mountains that edge down to one of the loveliest bays on the south coast. It is approx. one and a half hour drive from the airports of Heraklion and Chania. In the past a small village, it developed the last years to a holiday resort with a plenty of accommodations, shops, bars, restaurants and tavernas. It offers beautiful sandy/peppled beaches, water sports, umbrellas and sunbeds hire and even a diving school. In the region of Plakias its possible to make different walks, like the Kourtaliotiko Gorge, which ends at the beautiful palm beach of Preveli. From cultural value is the Monastery of Preveli and day trips to Phaestos, Gortys, Matala and Frangokastello.

The house is high located with fantastic view to the sea and Plakias and can accommodate up to 7 persons.
Small beaches can be found further down next to the seaside road, a larger beach is "Souda Bay" few minutes westwards.
The little village of Plakias is 2 km away and there you find all necessary facilities.
