Panormo

Panormo is a former fishing village on the north coast of Crete Heraklion and Rethymon. In the narrow, cobbled streets you will meet locals drinking raki in traditional kafenions, while the harbour is filled with tavernas serving up authentic local dishes. There are two beaches, the most central is Limani, which sits in front of the village and is well protected from the breeze, sandy with clear, shallow waters. There is plenty in the way of watersports, along with the usual umbrellas and loungers to rent. And just 200 metres away, there is a second sandy place to relax, West Panormo Beach. Panormo is a good base to explore Westcrete and the center of the island.
