Psari Forada

It is hard to believe that a village with such an extensive beach and attractive setting has so far been entirely by-passed by all but the most inquisitive of explorers. Situated on the shores of the Libyan Sea, where the climate is especially kind all year round, Psari Forada is perfect for true escapists and offers a few accommodations for its summer guests.
It is easy to come in contact with the local people, a good way is to sit in one of the tavernas or kafeneion at the small main square, closed to the sea. 

The main income of the region is agriculture. In the summer is since a few years a sport festival for children and young adults with different competitions like football, beach volley and more. A car is recommended for to make day trips to the Messara plane with its famous excavations Gortys and Festos or to visit the eastern part of the island.
